I am a graduate student at SUNY Downstate / NYU-Poly, attending psychiatrist at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven, CT, and Instructor of psychiatry at Yale university, CT. I am using in-silico computer models to understand the neurobiology of psychiatric diseases, with a focus on schizophrenia and depression. Currently, I am using computer models of the cortex to investigate the use of CB1 receptor agonism and NMDA receptor antagonism as pharmacological models for psychosis, and to study the antidepressant effect of ketamine in patients diagnosed with treatment-resistant depression.
